Our school is participating in a fun summer reading project: the Scholastic Summer Challenge, featuring Read for the World Record. The Summer Challenge unites students from around the globe in an attempt to set a new world record for most minutes read this summer! So read, read, read this summer and be sure to log you minutes at www.scholastic.com/summer.
Help us break the world record!
Fruits of Our Efforts
This past year in lieu of participating in a walk to raise funds towards autism awareness, we decided to raise funds for a scholarship to a local student who is on the autism spectrum and is graduating from our zone high school, Coral Springs High. Thoughout the year, our Play Pals coordinated Puzzle Pin sales to raise funds. This past week, Mrs. Panzarella and Ms. Pontillo presented a $1000 scholarship to a deserving student at the senior award ceremony. It was such a proud feeling to be able to present this scholarship.
Thank you to everyone who purchased Puzzle Pins throughout this school year! Together, we made a difference in the life of this student as he pursues post secondary education.
