From Our Principal
Education has faced many challenges over the past three years. Through each of these challenges, Coral Park has become a stronger school. Challenges also serve as a change agent. A delicate balance exists between maintaining what is historical and culturally significant to our school while adapting to the changing curriculum and staffing needs that result from legislative, budgetary, and societal demands.
It is through reflection that we can fine tune our future direction to ensure that we continue to maintain a high quality, engaging learning environment for our students while navigating through the required and needed changes. As I reflect upon not only this school year at Coral Park, but the past three years, I am proud of the many accomplishments of our school.
Please review the enclosed document “The State of Coral Park Elementary--We Are Full “STEAM” Ahead!” for an overview of Coral Park's programming for the 2014-15 school year. We are also hosting three informational parent sessions where we will discuss and clarify questions from the school's community. These sessions will take place in our media center on:
- Thursday, May 29th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
- Thursday, May 29th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
- Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:15 am / SAC meeting
We invite you to attend any part of these informational sessions, parents can come and go as needed. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, or needs as we continue on the path to college and career, full STEAM ahead!
