Creative Minds at Work
Applied Learning or Fine Arts strives to provide students with opportunities in engaging activities that will generate interest, spark passion, increase application of skills and knowledge, and facilitate communities that cultivate productive, civically-minded members of society. Applied Learning for elementary students focuses on six areas: Civic Engagement, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, STEM & Computer Science, and Visual Arts.
In addition to academic subjects, such as Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies, Coral Park offers daily specials to our students. Specials subjects include Media, Music, PE and STEAM.
Media
Media class empowers students to become savvy digital citizens. They learn research skills, responsible technology use, and how to navigate and create in today’s information-rich world.
Music
Our Music program inspires creativity and confidence through rhythm, melody, and performance. Students explore instruments, vocal techniques, and musical expression in a fun and engaging environment.
Physical Education (PE)
PE classes promote teamwork, fitness, and healthy habits. Through games, sports, and movement activities, students build strength, coordination, and a lifelong love of physical activity.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)
STEAM integrates hands-on learning across disciplines to spark curiosity and innovation. Students tackle real-world challenges through creative problem-solving and collaborative projects.
